Our Team

Cleo – a full blood Doberman Pinscher was born on April 18, 2006 to a first generation immigrant family from Russia. The family lived in Commerce, Georgia about 30 miles from Athens. On our way to Commerce we were excited about the possibility of getting a new puppy but told ourselves if anything looked off we were going to walk away. On the road we also wanted a female and the name Cleo popped into my head – Pam loved it!  There were 4 puppies left in the litter and Pam and I sat in a room with all 4. Cleo seemed to naturally gravitate to us and spent a lot of time in Pam’s lap. So, the decision to pick this puppy was natural – she was 6 weeks old/Coming Soon —-

Aspen –   Her age at the time she was vaccinated on  September 23, 2016 was 5 months old. This would put her birthday around  April 23, 2016. Her breed was listed as a Labrador Retriever mix and her color is listed as brindle and white.  She was adopted from the Crossroads Animal Clinic at 8409 West Oak Highway Seneca, SC. We adopted her on November 26, 2016 – 2 days after Thanksgiving. When Pam, myself and Cleo drove up to see her Aspen was with a foster family and we all met on a big grassy field. Both dogs were on leashes but they immediately started to play. After a few minutes we took them off their leashes and they just ran and played for a long time. After that we knew Aspen was going to be a good fit for all of us. Almost 6 years later and they are almost inseparable – Aspen is Cleo’s protector and won’t let another dog get close to her.

Charlotte – a 2017 Dynamax Isata. She came from Augusta Ga and was with a good older family. She wasn’t used much and had only 19,000 miles on her. She was in good shape and had several accessories added. We purchased Charlotte in July 2022 but she couldn’t come straight home with us because she needed a new NOX sensor and they backordered from Mercedes Benz for almost 3 months. She’s home with us now and we have already bonded.

Daphne –    is a 2020 Trek Domane bicycle. It was purchased in the fall of 2020 just before the Covid 19 pandemic hit the United States. It took me almost a year to get a few hundred miles on it because of all the mayhem the Covid 19 pandemic caused. I looked at and tried several bikes before making this purchase but I liked the Trek. At first I was apprehensive about spending the $$$$ on a new bike. Pam however, convinced me that my last bike lasted 20 years and if this bike lasted as long I would never have to buy another one – and I got my money’s worth from the old bike.

Bruce –  Last, but not least is me. I officially retired at midnight on December 31, 2022 from co-owning and operating a small business for the last 40 years. To many people retirement means to leave your job and cease to work, typically upon reaching the normal age for leaving employment. To me however, retirement means to start over doing something different and with a different purpose. Being relaxed and comfortable is alright for some of the time but, I also like the nervousness and uncertainty that comes with doing something completely new and unexpected. I’m sure there will come a time when I will embrace the comfort of being normal and consistent but for now while I still have good health I want to be adventurous and experience new things.
