Malcolm and I recently took part in the Jackson County Tour de Habitat, a fundraising ride supporting Habitat for Humanity. We completed 35 miles with more than 2,100 feet of elevation changes—and, as if the hills weren’t challenging enough, we rode much of it in pouring rain.

The weather made for a wet, demanding ride, but we kept pedaling through the hills and crossed the finish line soaked, tired, and proud. It was quite an adventure, made even more rewarding because we were riding for such a worthwhile cause.
